Welcome to Star Citizen Alpha Patch 2.6.1c, PTU Testers! For the complete 2.6.0 PTU patch notes, you can find them here:
Your launcher should should show “2.6.1-505151” as the client version. It is strongly recommended that players delete their USER folder for the Test client after patching, particularly if you start encountering any odd character graphical issues or crash on loading. The USER folder can be found (in default installations) at C:\Program Files\Cloud Imperium Games\StarCitizen\Test.
Please review our current list of Patch 2.6.1 known issues, and take full advantage of our Issue Council area of the Community site to report any bugs you encounter, as well as contribute to other players submissions.
Important Issues:
  • For users encountering GPU Related crashes on NVIDIA cards, please ensure that you have performed a clean driver installation of driver version 378.49!
  • The “Contacts List” button on the Universe page doesn’t work.
  • Hangar flair item are not persisting through client restarts.
  • Players may experience excessive desync when interacting with the Greycat Buggy.

Game Systems


Arena Commander
  • Fixed an issue where it was possible to fly while under the influence in Arena Commander.
Star Marine
  • Fixed an issue where Spectator music would continue playing after the player respawned.
  • Fixed a number of audio ambiance issues. * Removed freecam as an option for Elimination spectator mode.
  • Fixed an issue where the “30 seconds and 10 seconds remaining” audio dialogue was missing in Star Marine.
  • Fixed an issue where a spectator of a match would sometimes show up as the winner of the match on the scoreboard.
  • Fixed an issue where Elimination scores for Star Marine were not being populated to the leaderboards.
  • Fixed an issue where the thrown grenade icon would be seen by anybody in the map, regardless of their distance from the player that threw the grenade.
  • Fixed an issue where the ship HUD was offset when flying the Caterpillar.
  • Fixed a number of minor HUD issues with the Super Hornet.
  • Fixed an issue where one of the Vanguard weapons was missing ammo.
  • Fixed an issue that would send the players camera inside of Crusader if the missile camera remained active after a ship launches countermeasures.
  • Fixed an issue where missiles would begin acting erratically when triggering the cinematic missile camera.
  • Made some visual tweaks to the Herald thrusters.
  • Fixed an issue where rockets on the Mustang series did not have the proper art/graphics when fired.
  • Fixed an issue with the Reliant thruster audio not playing correctly.
  • Fixed an issue where a Herald pilot would lose control of the ship if another player sat in the copilot seat.
First Person
  • Added additional audio for the MediPen.
  • Improved charging sound while in depressurized environments for the Arrowhead Sniper Rifle.
  • Fixed an audio issue where music was not playing properly for passengers in a multi crew ship.
  • Fixed an issue where weapon tracers would linger after shooting a body bag.
  • Added a feature that would automatically cancel a purchase if there was no response from the server after 30 seconds.
User Interface
  • Removed the elevator UI from the Hangar elevator.
Users will need to proceed through the game menus to transition from Hangar to ArcCorp or Crusader.
  • Fixed an issue where characters would still see their change loadout UI while playing a match in Star Marine.
  • Fixed an issue in Star Marine where the in-game Loadout UI would remain on screen after character had respawned.
  • Added a MediPen count to the player HUD.
  • Players can now receive invites if they are currently sitting in a Lobby waiting for a match to start.
  • Fixed a number of client crashes.
